How do your portraits change?

It's an ancient Sumerian secret... Okay, so maybe not. It's actually a process known as lenticular photography which uses tiny lenses that only reflect a portion of the image at a time. So, when a victim friend walks past the picture, it will appear to change before their unbelieving eyes.

There are no batteries or electricity required for the effect to work. It's all based on your viewing angle. So, just put these bad-boys in a frame and watch the frights begin the next time you have an unsuspecting friend or family member over to your home… or dungeon. (We don't discriminate here.)

Are your portraits available framed?

No, they are sold unframed only. We do this to offer them to you at a lower price and to save on shipping charges. Plus, they are available in standard sizes so that it is more convenient for you to find a frame that is to your personal liking.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), and allow you to process your transaction through your choice of either PayPal, or directly through us. Some customers have chosen to barter with their souls or their first-born.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal

We also accept personal or business checks and money orders (checks must clear before orders ship). Please make them payable to:
Dark Imaginings.

Important Notice: There is a $35 fee for any non-sufficient funds checks.

How do I place my order?

The easiest and fastest method is to order from the website. Simply select the product and size that you would like and then press the Add to Casket button. You can then continue shopping or finalize your purchase.

We can also accept your orders via telephone (by leaving a voicemail message with your order), or through the mail.

Please note that Pennsylvania residents are charged 6% sales tax.

How long until my order arrives?

We generally ship within 2-3 days of placing your order (excluding weekends, holidays, or if we are at a convention). We ship our portraits via USPS, so they usually arrive within 3-5 days. However, it can take as long as 10-14 days before your order ships if the item that you want is not in stock or if it is a busy time of the year. We create most of our products "on demand" and painstakingly by hand, so we might not be able to ship your order immediately. If there is a delay we will notify you as soon as possible with a revised shipment date.

Will you offer more characters in the future?

Yes, Craig is currently working on new portraits and they will be added as soon as they are completed. Please check back often to see or sign-up for our newsletter for important updates.
